20 Things You Didn’t Know About Me tag

February 28, 2015 Discussions 2

I wasn’t tagged for this, but it looked like fun so I’m doing it anyway. I saw it at Lola’s Ramblings.

1. How tall are you?

I am 4’11” tall. This means I am frequently thought much younger than I am, I think the long hair helps with that assumption.

2. Do you have a hidden talent? if so, what?

Uhm… I’m double jointed? Both my fingers and my elbows, so they bend and twist in ways that make others cringe. I’m also mostly ambidextrous, haven’t tried writing with my left hand, but I can do everything else with either hand.

3. What is your biggest blog-related pet peeve?

Lots of animated things everywhere. Animated gifs, scrolling text/pictures, images that ‘flash’, especially when it’s all together on one page and there’s a lot of it. It tends to set off my vertigo and I have to leave the page quickly before I start to feel sick.

4. What is your biggest non-blog related pet-peeve?

Stupid people. Not like, the ones who have an occasional blonde moment (I have lots of those!), but ones who are willfully stupid and have no plans to ever change.

5. What’s your favorite song?

That changes often! I guess right now I have 2. “Shadow-Lover” sung by Heather Alexander, and “Count On Me” from Aladdin (it never made it into the movie). You can find both on YouTube if you haven’t heard them and are curious.

6. What’s your favorite etsy shop?

I don’t have one… No wait! My favorite etsy shop would be Pabkins. I haven’t bought anything there yet, but I’m constantly tempted.

7. What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?

Reading. Cuddling with my cat, or playing various computer and phone games.

8. What’s your favorite junk food?

Hard choice. I’d guess it’s a tie between brownies and donuts. Especially the chocolate iced ones, and the old-fashioned no icing ones.

9. Do you have pets?

I have 1 cat. She’s half-siamese, a dilute tortie, polydactly, and very stubborn. She’s also super-smart and constantly amazes people because she knows “dog commands” like coming when called, ‘no’, ‘down’, ‘not food’, ‘not a toy’, plays fetch, etc. She turns 13 this year and her name is Miles.

Miles

10. What are your favorite fiction and non-fiction books?

I don’t tend to read non-fiction, but I guess “As You Wish” by Cary Elwes would be a favorite. As for favorite fiction books, there are too many to list! Try looking through my ‘Reviews By Rating’ and check out the 5-star books for an idea. Though most of my favorites aren’t in that list either.

11. What’s your favorite beauty product?

I rarely ever use make-up. I guess I’ll go with Mary Kay’s Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. I used to use it to remove grease paint when I was in plays. It also takes sunscreen off really well, helps take paint off your fingers, and lightens stain (like wood stain stuff) if you’ve gotten that on your skin.

12. When were you last embarrassed?

I constantly embarrass myself. I forget words, have done so since I was a teen. And it’s usually stupid stuff like I once forgot the word “shower.” Couldn’t remember it for the life of me, so stood there describing things in the bathroom and how you use a shower to get my friend to say the word for me. She looked at me like I had 3 heads. *snickers* That was years ago, but is still a pretty typical example.

13. If you could drink one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Cranberry juice.

14. What’s your favorite movie?

I hate answering ‘favorite’ questions. It’s never just one thing for me. My usual favorites are Legend, Labyrinth, and the Princess Bride.

15. What were you in high school? prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, etc?

I was a Drama Geek. I was in theatre from pre-k through my first year of college. I loved it, and miss it. But there really isn’t much way to stay in once you’re out of school, unless you go professional. And I don’t think I was good enough for that.

16. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Ireland or England. I’ve never been to either one, but have wanted to visit them both since I was a little girl.

17. pc or mac?

PC. I’ve used both, prefer PC’s. Plus it seems like games for MAC’s come out later if they come out at all, and I wouldn’t want to wait to get certain ones.

18. Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boyfriend/girlfriend?

I haven’t dated in years. So… I don’t remember?

19. Favorite celeb?

Kyle Schmidt. Though I’m fond of Tom Hiddleston and Orlando Bloom as well. Oh, and James Phelps. *grins*

20. Which blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?

When I started out, I had 2 bloggers I admired and wanted to be friends with. And I’ve managed to make good friends with one of them, and friends with the other. Neither one minded me pestering them via e-mail with questions, and as Alice tells the Mad Hatter: “You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.” And so we are, and thus we get along well. *grins*

Yay for participating in this tag and reading my post totally counts as being tagged ;). I just don’t like tagging specific people as I am afraid to tag someone who doesn’t want to do it.

I don’t mind GIF’s on other blogs too much, but if there are too much I don’t like it or when it’s a bad GIF and it keeps looping is a weird way and it keep distracting me. I am not a fan of GIF’s, so I don’t use them in my reviews.

Aww you cat looks so adorable, I want to hug her! I know the blog of the person behind Pabkins, but never checked out her etsy shop before now. I like her art! I love donuts and brownies as well! I recently found a good recipe to make brownies myself, I will have to share it on the blog once.
I have visit England, but I haven’t been to Ireland, although I really want to visit.

That’s one of my favorite pictures of Miles, it actually shows the orange in her coat. She likes to snuggle, but only if it’s when I first wake up in the morning, or when I’m going to bed. If I want to snuggle when the bed and sleeping isn’t involved, she’ll only put up with it for a few seconds before wiggling to get away.

Pabkins shows off a lot of her stuff on her Art It Up posts, I love seeing the not-yet-finished stuff as well as what she’s been doodling that week!

Yay brownie recipe! Yes, you must share it so I can try it too. Even if I am trying to cut back a little and lose weight. Brownies are worth it. *grin*

I have friends in both Ireland and England, who have said I can crash on their couches. I just need to save up the money to actually be able to go and do stuff. Maybe next year.
