One year ago, Sara’s twin brother and his wife were brutally murdered. By vampires, creatures that can’t exist. But Sara knows better and she’s on a mission to kill as many as she can…until she comes across a man from her past.

Not sure where in the series this takes place. There are missing words starting from page one, as well as a few words that don’t fit the sentence. You can still tell what was meant, but a better proofreader would have been a good idea. The story isn’t very long, so I would think it would have been fairly easy to check over.

Sara doesn’t seem surprised when a man she hasn’t seen in a year, appears just in time to stop her from killing a vampire. She’s too busy thinking how handsome he is, instead of wondering why he’s on a rooftop in the middle of the night.

She doesn’t get even slightly worried about this until he tells her he’s been looking for her. Then she panics, but still doesn’t actually do more than look at her bags laying on the roof.

As for Wyatt, his feelings for Sara remind me of insta-love. They had a week-long fling after Sara’s twin brother and her best friend were killed by vampires. Wyatt hasn’t seen her since, and yet he hasn’t slept with anyone since, and seems to have strong feelings for her.

Maybe if I’d had the context of the rest of the series I would have liked it better. But as it stands, there was some awfully fast flipping from hating vampires to shacking up with one. Oh, and yes, there is sex in the book. Not super explicit sex, but sex all the same.
