I really liked Tak in the first book. But for a lot of this one I wanted to smack him. His and Margo’s relationship was a fairly big plot point in the book, and all of it seemed like it was heading towards bad news. I guess it was fairly realistic in some ways, that neither one really talked to the other about the issues until towards the end of the book. The beginning was a little slow, but once I got past the first 30 pages or so it picked up and started to suck me in. There were a lot of plot twists, but none were over the top and all of them fit perfectly and made a lot of sense. I had a few ideas on who the killer was, and it turns out all of them were wrong. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Margo. A woman who chooses to dress in costumes even when not working at a costume shop? I thought it would be too silly. But it actually worked fairly well. It fit her character, and was believable, even when some of the costumes were a trifle more on the exotic side. I loved the twists and turns in the book.
