I loved how none of the characters from other worlds seemed to automatically know or speak English. Once they got to the school, they were given earrings that reminded me a bit of the fish from the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy series. And the earring allowed them to understand each other. I also liked learning a bit about Lisa’s classes, and finding out who Mrs. Gale is. The bad guy of the book wasn’t obvious, at least to me.
