I loved getting to meet some of the ‘famous’ fairy tale characters. And the twists their stories took. (Though I could have done without a geriatric Peter Pan… Poor Peter!!) Merlin was hilarious, and spot on if you like the way he’s portrayed in The Sword In The Stone. I also liked the surprise twist with Hort, as well as the fact the witch coven played big roles in this book again. I loved how we never really knew for sure whether or not it was Agatha or Sophie who had made a wish and re-opened their fairytale until the end of the book. Agatha was blamed for most of the book, but Sophie had made a wish at her mother’s grave, so for me at least, it could have gone either way as to who was to blame. “Only once you destroy who you think you are can you embrace who you truly are”   I really liked Sophie for most of the book, but as we get to know Agatha better, she slowly started making me root for her. All the characters were fun and interesting to read about. I liked Hestia and Dot best of the secondary characters. And the illustrations that were all throughout the book were wonderful!
