Jason (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #23) by Laurell K. Hamilton (review)

Jason (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #23) by Laurell K. Hamilton (review)

This book is pretty much entirely sex, and working on issues. Anita’s issues, Jade’s issues, J. J.’s issues. The first 66 pages are one long scene in Anita’s kitchen where she, a few of her guys, and Envy talk about pain in the bedroom and why they like or dislike it. And talk Anita into having sex with Jason while J. J. watches so she can understand why Jason might like it rougher sometimes. There was none of the police crime stuff, vampire hunting (no vampires at all in this book actually), mystery or anything else that is part of… Read more »

Lord Demon’s Delight (Demons of Dunmore #1) by Gia Dawn (review)

Lord Demon’s Delight (Demons of Dunmore #1) by Gia Dawn (review)

I expected more fantasy than I got. It read like a normal romance book, with every now and then an appearance from what I’m guessing are Fae or Godmother types. Lights, Camera…Monsters (Monsters in Hollywood, #1) by Lila Dubois (review)

Lights, Camera…Monsters (Monsters in Hollywood, #1) by Lila Dubois (review)

I loved the idea for this book. That monsters were real, and had to change the way humans thought about them before they were found. How humans were taking over the few unexplored places left for the monsters to hide in. And making a movie and TV show to change perceptions. Unfortunately, other than putting the idea out there, the only other thing that happened in the book was sex. So much sex it felt like the tiny bit of plot there was, was just thrown in there to make it feel like a book instead of an excuse to… Read more »

The Tower And The Tears (Magic University #2) by Cecilia Tan (review)

The Tower And The Tears (Magic University #2) by Cecilia Tan (review)

“If you wish hard enough, the orgasm fairy will visit you”   So I haven’t actually read book 1 of this series. There were a few things I didn’t quite understand the references to because of this. However, I was able to read almost the entire book with my zero knowledge of book 1 without much confusion. The synopsis gave me clues that there would be sex in this book. But I was not prepared for the sheer amount of it. Kyle is studying the esoteric arts. Which apparently means his ‘homework’ ends up being sex, lots of sex. And… Read more »
