This book was just as engrossing as the last one. I liked that we got to learn more about the way magic works in this book. Amulets and Seekers were the focus this time around. The characters were easy to remember, even though it’s been a while since I read the last book in this series, and have read a lot more cozies between then and now. I loved how many side mysteries were in this book. It never felt like there was too much going on, and it wasn’t confusing following all the various mysteries. I guessed the answers to who the Elder was, as well as the mystery around the dove by about half-way through the book or so. But I liked getting to see how the plots would unfold.
