This was the first book Patricia Briggs ever wrote apparently. It is not as good as her Mercy Thompson or Alpha & Omega series’. So if you haven’t read anything by her before, don’t start with this book. That said. I did enjoy it a lot! I loved Wolf and Aralorn. Their interactions made me laugh more than once. The supporting characters were decent, but with the exceptions of Myr and the ae’magi, weren’t anything memorable. They were not puppets, they were developed. Steal The Dragon by Patricia Briggs (review)

  “I seem to have turned a simple information-gathering mission into defying the gods with a man who claims heritage with an obscure, all-but-forgotten race of tree-folk.” I really enjoyed this book. It is the 2nd in a series, however reading it was more like reading a stand-alone book. It started and ended as though it was a single book and not one of a series.
