I do love how this series always seems to come up with a rarer fantasy creature or scenario in every book. It’s not the over-done vampire or werewolf (as much as I love both creatures, they seem to pop up everywhere in Urban Fantasy…) I won’t spoil you and tell you what the creature was, but I really liked how the clues were laid out, and the neat twist on the creature itself. “I sounded so rational, as long as I didn’t listen to what I was actually saying.”   I love the Native American folklore in this series. I also like how shamanism, witchcraft, and other magic things are done. Not everyone believes, and most people manage to make up a version of reality where the ‘strange’ things that happen are easily explained away. Like a graveyard suddenly erupting with zombies (including zombie bugs and rodents!), was just a movie set.
