September 2016 Wrap-Up

September Wrap Up

Not lot’s going on this month. I got more crochet done, 2 new scarves! And picked up a new pattern I want to try making a blanket with. Bought 7 skeins of christmas variegated yarn to use with it. It’s red, white and green. So if I get time to make much, I’ll show off a work in progress in next month’s wrap up.

I plan on taking a week off work next month and doing a bit of a stay-cation. Where I sit around and read and crochet and not worry about work. *lol* I also plan on dragging Dad to the zoo, and going to a natural history/science museum, as well as visiting some of our relatives. So possibly not too much of a stay-cation, we’ll have to see!

We lost our oldest cat on the 26th. He was Dad’s, and he’d had him since he was born. Mike was 18 and a half years old, and we lost him due to a mix of cancer and some kind of infection that filled his tummy with fluid. He died in his sleep at the vet’s office, and it was very quick. So at least he wasn’t in pain for long.

And so as not to leave this on a sad note: I’m still loving my fitbit flex. I’ve now managed to lose 2lbs and .5in off my tummy! Hoping to keep it up and lose all the weight I need to. Though I’ll settle for most of the weight, just so long as I keep losing!

September Discussion Posts And Other Babblings:

What Do You Think Of Movie Re-Makes?

My 2-Year blogiversary!

Once again, only got one discussion post done this month. One of these days I’ll get back into 4 a month. I just have to remember to work on writing and then scheduling them!

So that was my September, how was yours? Do anything fun this month? What was your favorite book that you weren’t sure you’d like?

I do want to do more discussion posts on my blog. I get ideas I want to work on but I need to make more time to write/schedule them so I’m not trying to do things last minute, etc.

I hope you do get a nice staycation! Those can be great just to relax a bit and recharge.

Thank you! It was nice, but I didn’t get anything done I was planning on doing at home. *lol* Ah well…

As for discussions, I was so much better last year! I was doing 3-4 a month. This year I’ve been lucky to do one a month. Not sure where all my ideas have gone, but I hope you’re able to get yours down!

*laughs* Thanks hun! It wasn’t long enough. Vacations never are! But I actually didn’t get much accomplished at home. I swear I don’t know where all the time went!

This wrap-up directed me to your compelling review of The Graces. I’ve heard some very good things about that book, but your ideas were bold and interesting. Cheers, Kara S
